seeing the world for the first time

I work in a variety of mediums; from acrylic paintings on canvas, to print design and illustration, or almost anything the job calls for. I draw inspiration for my work from the environment surrounding me. MY focus is sharing the world as I see it, highlighting the softness and beauty within the mundane and easily missed; bringing fresh eyes to that which is often overlooked. My application of paint on canvas evokes a sense of restrained urgency. Through a combination of tight renderings and intentional inclusion of the underpainting, I create works that are unique in their surrealism and harmonious chaos; brought to life through color and light.

I moved from Athens, GA to New York in 2011 and now live and work in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
